Springbrook cafes, in the Gold Coast hinterland, exude the ‘mountain’ environment. Take your pick – coffee and cake by a cosy fire, sharing your lunch in the garden with the parrots, enjoy Sunday afternoon listening to live music, sit on a deck and soak up the sun while enjoying your lunch.
I love making good food using fresh local ingredients. For me, good food is simple and fresh, real no-nonsense food. I add flavour using some amazing garlic from Stanthorpe, Comonos olive oil, herbs from the best garden in Springbrook, local honey and other sauces and condiments.
I make all my own food. No mass produced food grabbed from the freezer and heated in a microwave in my café. You won’t find chips and burgers on my menu. Instead I focus on providing food that will nourish you without the heavy fried options.
Over the years I’ve honed my menu to offer something for everyone – whether you are vegetarian, vegan or celiac. There is something on the menu you will love.
You’re welcome anytime. Come in and relax with a coffee and a piece of my signature Upside Down Cake. BYO and take away available.
My café is right next to the National Park. After your coffee wander into the rainforest. In just 5 minutes you’ll see the spectacular Purling Brook Falls.
