Visitor Information Centre

The Visitor Information Centre is at the entrance to Springbrook Mountain near Wunburra Lookout. There is plenty of parking and visitor information is available 24/7. The centre is open on weekends and public holidays from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Selfhelp Retreat was established at Springbrook in 1989.

We produce medicinal herbs and remedies and local turmeric and garlic.

Selfhelp Retreat is a ‘farm-acy’ run on organic and permaculture principles.

Medicinals comply with Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Act (TGA).

Mfest started in 2007 as a celebration of motherhood and the creativity of women. Initially an outdoor festival with live women-led music, food and market stalls by 2009 it grew to include women tent-workshops, a mass spiritual dance and rituals.

It is an annual event usually held on the Saturday of the Mothers Day weekend. The festival kicks off at 10:00am and activities wind down by late afternoon. The local community really pulls together to get the tent up, make sure there is plenty of food and entertainment and lots to do for mums, dads and all the kids.

Come along to enjoy wonderful music, fabulous food, creative crafts and much more. Entry is free.

Yowie Sighting

There are many stories of the mysterious yowie wandering in the canyon below the escarpment. Occasionally they’ll come up to the plateau to frighten a few locals. Be on the lookout, particularly after dusk.
